Anti-rust film
PE anti-rust film can protect objects from salt damage, corrosive gas, high temperatures, and high humidity by preventing contact between water vapor and oxygen in the air and the objects, thus achieving an anti-rust effect.
This product is widely used for various metal items such as electromechanical components, auto parts, motorcycle parts, and electric tools.
Anti-rust packaging is crucial during transportation as it helps enterprises save labor, time, and cost, resulting in significant economic benefits.
Before packaging, the product must be clean and free of rust. Gloves should be worn during packaging to avoid direct contact with the items. Avoid packaging in open-air conditions, direct sunlight, and humid, rainy, or foggy weather.
The Three Layers of Stretch Film are as Follows:
- Internal Layer: Provides immediate protection to the items.
- Intermediate Layer: Serves as a reservoir of PROPATECH VCI molecules for long-term protection, activating only when the inner layer is exhausted.
- External Layer: Acts as a barrier against atmospheric agents and contains the protective action. This layer prevents the dispersion of PROPATECH VCI molecules, ensuring 100% protective efficiency within the packaging.
How Does Anti-Rust Film Work?
VCI film protects metal from rust and corrosion in two ways. Firstly, it acts as a physical barrier that keeps metal parts clean and free from moisture, dust, and contaminants. Secondly, it releases vapor corrosion inhibitors (VCI) that create a protective layer on the metal surface, which is only 2-3 molecules thick. VCI film can be produced in various forms, including rolls, sheets, bags, or tubing, making it an easy-to-use, clean, and dry packaging option for metals and metal parts.
VCI film is made by impregnating linear, low-density polyethylene (poly film) with vapor corrosion inhibitors (VCI). This union results in VCI film, which can be used without the need for messy grease or oil. To use VCI film to prevent rust, wrap metal parts in the film or place them in a VCI poly bag and seal it. Once enclosed, the VCI activates to form a protective layer on the metal surface that displaces moisture and repels rust.

Notices for Use
Follow the guidelines stipulated in GB/T 14188 when using VCI packaging material. Ensure the metal to be packed is clean and dry. The side containing the volatile corrosion inhibitor should face the packed metal. Keep the entire package tightly sealed.
