Ethylene-ethyl acrylate copolymers (EEA) are produced by reacting ethylene with acrylic acid ethyl ester. These copolymers offer high filler acceptance, excellent toughness, thermal stability, flexibility, and adhesion across a range of temperatures. EEA copolymers are used in hoses and tubes, films, polymer modification, carrier resins for concentrates, compatibilizers, wire and cable compounds, and hot melt adhesive formulations. They are also suitable for tough and flexible injection-molded and extruded articles.
Features
Polyethylene-ethyl acrylate copolymer film is a safe, stable, and non-toxic material with thermoplastic properties and extremely high adhesion. It strongly adheres to metals, has excellent heat sealability, tear resistance, and provides both air and moisture isolation.
Uses
This material is widely used in communication wires and cables for automotive and aerospace applications. When combined with metal, it can be used as shielding material or in aluminum-plastic and steel-plastic composite films for food packaging, medical packaging, and more.
